Real estate Web site a winner

Last week, the Yellow Pages Information technology award
for Western Australia’s most innovative e-commerce site was presented
to recent Internet start-up company aussiehome.com. Charlie Gunningham
and Nick Streuli, co-founders of the Nedlands-based real estate portal,
were delighted by the honour saying “Winning the e-commerce award was
mind-boggling, considering we were up against companies like AdultShop.com
and Pretzel Logic”. Aussiehome.com employs mining technology to create
maps showing prospective buyers all amenities close to a property. The
company’s Web site also contains photos and virtual tours. Debuting in
December, the site now features 1,000 properties from more than 50 real
estate agents.
