October 10th 2002: Perth's own web-based real estate services company, aussiehome.com, was awarded the title of 'Most Innovative IT Business' at the annual Asia-Pacific ICT (Information Communication & Technology) Awards held at the Sheraton Hotel, Perth, last night.

In another (inaugural) Award, voted by the public through the ICT Awards web site, aussiehome.com was also awarded the 'People's Choice' Award.

The judges citation read: 'aussiehome.com is a 3-year old privately owned company and is a profitable dotcom! The company has Perth ownership, Perth management, develops Perth products, showcases Perth properties, has Perth customers, and Perth web users. Their unique map-based property site, and the systems they deploy to their 85+ business customers, is extremely local and yet has national/regional/global potential".

This year's ICT Awards saw a record number of 89 entries for 14 categories.
